OUR MISSION

We'll recruit tens of thousands of girls 10 to 15 into Fútbol-5 teams based in neighborhoods throughout the country. A cohort of voluntary trainers ages 18 to 25 will mentor, support and lead weekly training sessions and monthly league

Fútbol is one of the most pervasive and respected social institutions in the world. We'll leverage its prestige to change the game for girls throughout the region.

Fútbol's  technical practice requires assertiveness without violence while it develops a player’s control and her sense of physical space; its low scores reward patience and perseverance while requiring physical conditioning; its tactical set-up places team-work at its core while its free-range on the field rewards a balance of creativity and discipline.

There are few more potentially disruptive social forces in Latin America today than the young women who have, from their own bedrooms, taken to all forms of messaging and social media to push their own networks and their own content. From informal WhatsApp groups to the tens of millions of subscribers signed up to women-driven

While traditional activism has disregarded the value and the potential of a new crop of social media stars for meaningful social change, we beg to differ. Goleadoras will take the lead by partnering with the most popular social media stars to start, grow and transform our movement.
